In exercise of the powers conferred upon me by

Article 3 of the above-mentioned Proclamation, I, DAVID MERCER

MACDOUGALL, Chief Civil Affairs Officer, HEREBY MAKE THE

FOLLOWING REGULATION.

1.

All persons now in possession or hereafter coming into

possession of all the articles mentioned in Schedule 1

hereto and acquired on or after the 25th December, 1941,

shall within one month from to-day or from such coming into pos-

session furnish to Colonel, C.A., Legal Branch, or any person

authorised by him (hereinafter referred to as the competent

authority") a return in the form specified in Schedule II hereto

or in such amended form as he may from time to time require

either generally or in any specific case.

None of the articles to which Section 1 of this Regulation

applies shall be moved from the premises where they are now

situate save under and in accordance with a permit in writing of

the competent authority.

3.

The competent authority may for the purpose of satisfying

himself that this Regulation has been complied with enter

at all reasonable hours between sunrise and sunset any premises

which he has reason to believe contains any article to which

Section 1 of this Regulation applies.
